  • Office Space: 80,000 SF
  • Lab and Training Space: 19,000 SF

Scope of Work:

  • Fully renovated Customer Briefing Center

Major Challenges:

  • Dealing with 9 key stakeholders and their separate budgets
  • Merging drawings from two separate design teams
  • Pre-scheduled paid classes and training sessions for Omnicell’s clients
  • Phased work to maintain budget and not exceed stakeholder budgets

  • Early involvement of the project management team with the client and design teams
  • Continuous value engineering and collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Weekly design calls and WebEx meetings for effective communication
  • Budgeting and RFP due diligence to ensure cost control
  • Saving the client over $500K on the overall budget, which is 5 times more than the project management fee
  • Weekly calls and multiple site visits for coordination with vendors and clients

Omnicell’s decision to expand in the Pittsburgh market presented unique challenges; however, the project management team’s experience in the market helped steer the project in the right direction
